I've never met anyone who actually plays poker dice. At this point, I'm half-convinced the only people who buy these kinds of dice are compulsive collectors, and dummies like me who keep thinking "someday they'll be useful."

52) In 1988 there was only one new games system that I bought, and it was entering its 3rd edition by this point. GURPS by Steve Jackson - the generic role-playing system. A good system but clearly borrowed elements from lots of other systems.

44) Although released in 1985, I think it was 1986 that I first bought "Car Wars" (although it might have been 1985). Although touted as an RPG, it was more about building armed and armoured cars, and racing them like Mad Max.

@SergKoren I saw a TikTok where someone from SJG talks about free points of entry as well as how to get into specific genres.

Then they talked about a writing Wishlist for anyone that wanted to write for them. I was amazed that there is an actual list of specific things they want to be written with specs.

So here are all of the counters from the Ogre Designer's Edition box. I've decided to pull it out and see if I can get a few games in with it. The 3D Ogre models are amazing as is the wealth of counters you get.
