Atlantic Kingfisher
We were walking along the #harbour in St. John's #Newfoundland at night on our way back to our hotel and this loomed above us with the darkened narrows beyond. With the moon and the glimmering lights on the far shores, it was a lovely calm sight, quite different from the bustling activity of the early morning.

Atlantic Wave
This was taken on my trip to #Newfoundland in March 2013 when I gave a workshop at the #QuidiVidi along with teaching and demonstrating at the local #Woodturners guild. We had an afternoon of sightseeing, thanks to the hospitality of the Guild's president.

Friston and the Barbies
On our little farm in the #Dordogne , #France, we had lots of rare breeds of chickens including these lovely little Barbu D'Anvers, a Belgian bantam breed, full of personality. We called the two original hens the Barbies and the rooster was called Ken. So with Friston (newly born on this post: https://halifaxsocial.ca/@StevenKennard/110078698128661307) we have a lot of Kens.
