Dear Friends who are anxious about using your stickers for your laptop...

My solution is/has been to use a laptop skin / protector like those from DBrand.

Then once the laptop needs to be returned or maybe sold to get a new one.

The DBrand skin pulls of (being super gentle) you can then place it onto a poster board and save it and make your own wall art.
