FINE! FUCKING FINE! I'LL JUST STEAL THE SHIT AND POST IT AS MY OWN, THANKS MASTADON:
Since power grid attacks are in the news, here's an excerpt from "The Theory and Practice of Armed Struggle in the Northwest" by George Jackson Brigader Ed Mead, circa 1980:
"On January 1, 1976 ... the Brigade planted a powerful pipe bomb at a transformer complex in the very rich Laurelhurst neighborhood. The attack was in support of the long and courageous strike then being waged by Seattle's City Light workers. The blast completely destroyed the two hundred fifty thousand dollar transformers and shut the power of the rich off during the height of their New Year celebrations. More importantly, the action had a marked impact on the length of the then-stalled negotiations and a positive effect on the terms of the settlement between the city and its workers. The morning after the action, strikers set up pickets on the bomb site to prevent scabs from repairing the damage. When the media tried to get City Light workers to denounce the Brigade, they refused to do so."
No credit to @riotmuffin for finding this because fuck you I'm doing a colonialism today I guess wtf IDK i'm tired.
