Sublime story about soviet black market vinyl from painter Vasya Horst:

"My granddad's most favourite-cherished record collecting story. 1960s, GUM [huge department store on Red Square], grandfather buys Pyotr Leshchenko's "on the ribs" record (improvised gramophone recordings made from X-ray films) recording from illegal private distributor. The label on the disc reads - Alexandrov Ensemble [for conspiracy]. ...
