It's from a pic of one of my cosmos in the backyard. At this rate, it will be finished by Halloween.

Tapestry crochet is the art of hooking in pictures using single crochet stitches to replicate each block or pixel. It's similar in form to cross-stitch, but you can't really work intricate designs that call for a lot of different colour changes (you can if you have infinite patience and loads of bobbins for yarn, but it's very tricky) so it tends to be better with simple graphics. The beauty of #crochet is how versatile it is. You can make anything you like and there are literally hundreds of stitches. When I started teaching myself to crochet I bought a stitch book and just had fun. My layest work: Eastern Lights, Haddon Hall. This is the east window of the Long Gallery at Haddon. Hand stitched using predominantly wool. Prints will be available soon and the original will be for sale. But I'm just enjoying it myself for now 😁
