@bookstodon My February wrap-up.

Some really good books, so glad I finally reading the Serpent and Dove series - phenomenal!

I also loved Arthur and Teddy are Coming Out by Ryan Love (can't recommend it enough!) Also the Heartstopper series is so good; Alice Oseman is a genius at giving us a heartfelt tale that makes you have all the feels. Massive respect for how triggering topics are dealt with.

I'm currently on my 52nd book of the year, The Time Tider by SinΓ©ad O'Hart sent to me by Little Tiger publishing.

Described as 'A fast-paced, time-bending adventure perfect for fans of A Wrinkle in Time, The Secret Keepers and Sky Song.' It's a great tale so far and one that will keep young readers hooked.

Love getting the opportunity to review books such as this thanks to publishers or Netgalley.

It may well be nearly the end of February but the pain and lack of movement in my arm have made it too hard to type, never mind make these recaps for here and my Instagram.

So here are my January reads - some great reads, especially The Queering by Brooke Skipstone, Gender Queer by Maia Kobabe and Friday I'm in Love by Camryn Garrett.

Review Time: The Silmarillion

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I've read and loved The Hobbit and the trilogy that makes up the Lord of the Rings series several times over the decades; I hadn't picked up The Silmarillion and other prequels by Tolkien until now.

My November reads - not as many as I'd liked but some brilliant ones nonetheless!

I am really enjoying my re-reading of Tolkien as the year comes to an end, but this was my first time reading The Silmarillion and The Children of Hurin and WOW!

Hope your November was a good one.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you to Netgalley and Jessica Kingsley Publishing for my eARC of this adorable children's book.

Pride and Joy is a story that helps to educate someone on how to be an LGBTQIA+ ally.

The Children of HΓΊrin by JRR Tolkien is my sixth book of November.

I'm so glad watching Rings of Power encouraged me to go pick up this and The Silmarillion.

QOTD. What's your favourite fantasy series?
AOTD. Tolkien for the classic and Cassandra Clare and Terry Pratchett for the modern take.
