Old and new grotesques on the corbels of St Mary's Cathedral on Great Western Road in Glasgow.

This rather glorious building was subject to £3.5 million restoration project in the 2000s, and during this process they replaced some of the worn-out traditional grotesques with likenesses of members of its congregation and clergy, as well as those who worked on the restoration. Personally, I love it and think it's a great touch.

This evening I've had the privilege of seeing the bellringers of #StMarysCathedral Edinburgh in action. Fabulous!

The day they put the old bloke in the #crypt at #stmaryscrypt #stmaryscathedral, I’ll make it my business to be in #Hydepark dressed casual, with a bottle of #champagne #champers and #orangejuice, and carrying a #whiteballoon.
