Update: got ChatGPT to play #chess a bit more intelligently by pasting the entire game history into the chat. It played just fine until move 13 when I put it into a royal fork. It then kept trying to illegally play the move Rf7 to capture the knight, even after multiple repeated queries and explicitly telling it not to play that move.

I'll count that as a resignation 😄
