I may be having a hard time adjusting to the change in routine/schedule due to Carl going back to school but I am also just really freaking proud of him for having the courage to go back to school and for doing so well in class so far. Reason number 74846 that I adore my fiancé: he indulges in my #BookWorm book hoard-erm I mean collecting. We went grocery shopping #Today and we were in the aisle that had books and every time he looks for Danielle Steel bc he knows that’s my second fave author (first is Stephen King but I have most of his books already). Today he found one and pointed to it but I already have it so I said that then he pointed to this one which I said I didn’t have. I grabbed it and read the synopsis and just closed it and put it in the cart and he didn’t even bat an eye, despite knowing I’m running out of room to store the books I already have (they are stacked on top on my dresser currently bc we have no bookshelves). It’s been a stressful evening at the #Stoddner house. Carl had a shitty day at work so he came home pissy then worked out and is now studying/doing homework. And bc my brain is #neurospicy his mood has triggered an #anxiety attack for me and I am spiraling into self loathing mode. Gotta love #CPTSD. Also I am starving and haven’t eaten since noon but my brain is saying “Don’t make food, that’ll be too noisy and Carl needs silence to study and focus.” So I’m just sitting here like

Merry Christmas y’all!! It’s a low key one here at the Stoddner household. Carl’s mom has the flu so we won’t be seeing his family til next weekend and well my family said they didn’t wanna do anything so it’s just us this year. Carl and I will exchange gifts at some point today.
