The US Preventive Services Task Force reaffirms recommendation to prescribe Pre-exposure Prophylaxis to prevent HIV. “It is important that clinicians routinely take a sexual and injection drug use history for all their patients in an open and nonjudgmental manner and inform all persons who are sexually active or who inject drugs that HIV infection can be prevented,” the USPSTF wrote in their recommendation.
