PLEASE CONSIDER ALSO ENROLLING IN A "STOP THE BLEED" COURSE! (like at https://www.stopthebleed.org/). Many local mutual aid groups, hospitals, or workplaces put these on.

It will teach you how to use an Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK), which can help improve the chances of someone surviving long enough to reach a hospital if a hot piece of transonic metal decides to go in or through them.

#StopTheBleed is a great way to supplement your existing #firstAid training for situations where excessive bleeding is a risk. That could be due to gunshot or knife wounds, but it could also be due to a car crash or yardwork accident.

You can also take Stop the Bleed with no existing first aid training as well! Although we certainly recommend that everyone take a regular first aid class at some point if they are able to.

Everyone who wants to should take a Stop the Bleed course so they can effectively provide first aid to others in their community. This is not just for official first responders, it's for everyone. 🤝
