Thanks for the suggestion. #StopTheMadness looks pretty good; I use Brave browser on my #iMac which already has decent privacy features. Also, I'm a cheapskate and don't want to spend $10USD just to alleviate a minor #copy-paste inconvenience.

I will never buy a car that has installed equipment that has a subscription service to access. Most cars these days have certain features, installed, that now come standard. If car makers want to go this route, then they need to go back to those features being add ones. This idea that car makers can access your vehicles systems through the computers on board, leads to exactly this kind of capitalist bs.

To put a fine point of this: the equipment to make the seats heat up are already in the car you bought. And they want to charge people to use that equipment after buying the equipment. So, people would be renting the equipment they bought. No one wants that. Nor should they. And yes, this pisses me off.

Hovland in Bismarck, North Dakota, halted the regulations from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers pending the outcome of a lawsuit filed by the 24 states, most of which are led by Republicans. The regulations were finalized in December 2022, repealing a rule implemented during President Donald Trump’s administration but thrown out by federal courts.

Opponents of the regulations, which define which “waters of the United States” are protected by the Clean Water Act, have called the rules an example of federal overreach and argued they would unfairly burden farmers and ranchers."

I was just writing a post complaining that sometimes the web UI opened profiles from other instances in a new tab, and then it occurred to me to check my extensions.

It was the ‘Stop link trackers’ setting in StopTheMadness, if anyone’s having the same problem.
