Note for those who don’t know: trans teens cannot currently have surgery and no-one is advocating for them to have surgery. What the Tories want to ban is puberty blockers and counselling. Puberty blockers are reversible (and anyway detransitioning is incredibly rare).

You can bet that the Tories will roll back even the somewhat skimpy climate policies offered by Trudeau too.

The schadenfreude is so very enjoyable watching the tories get massacred in the local election results. My local council hasn’t been announced yet but over 200 councillors down at the time of writing. 🎉🤣🪦. #stopthetories

My youngest son’s pre-school was a polling station today so I took the day off work. It was so nice just to have a day dedicated to hanging out with him in perfect weather.

We walked into town and back, spent lots of time at the park and read some books in the local library.

Of course I started the day by making my #vote to #stopthetories and attempt to save these local services from more cuts.

I have successfully voted in the local election to oust a local Tory councillor ✊

As I have a postal vote, but hadn't filled in or posted it off due to running a spoon deficit, I filled that in there & handed it over to them.

&, of course, I got bleeping misgendered as a "gentleman" despite having my updated photo ID on me to hand it in 🙃
