New #kaladin mirror selfie, with latest costume updates. Custom buttons are finished and sewn in place. I bought white pants, and I'll be wearing them with this costume at least for the next con, until I can make my own. I'm borrowing the belt from my Prince Caspian costume, with the intention of eventually replacing the buckle with something hand-made that references the #stormlight universe. Last costume piece I'm making is a waistcoat, which should be finished this weekend.

Here's an example of the kinds of tests I'll do as I figure out how I'm going to make a #costume. I knew I wanted custom buttons for the coat with the #Kholin glyph on them, but I wasn't sure what technique I wanted to use to make them. I ordered a big batch of blank metal buttons, and first I tried etching the glyph straight onto the blanks. Did not work great, due to the different metals they are made of. So I am going to etch onto aluminum and glue that to the blanks instead. #Stormlight

@ljpuk I adore odd #Weather conditions for #photography. Fog is brilliant, but my absolute favourite is #Stormlight, a foreground in bright sunlight and a sky black with clouds beyond. Even better if the sunlight is low angle.
My recent opportunities in #Fog have been when I am carrying my phone, not my camera, and the AI in the Pixel works overtime to remove it!

Wait, no, that's a lie. Brandon Sanderson's #Stormlight has it with #Jasnah. But there’s one thing that’s even rarer: rep of #aroace characters being in a committed #queerplatonic relationship and being sex favourable and still aroace. I’m aroace in my little #polycule and I’ve never seen that in any media (appart from my own fanfics), which makes me really, really sad tbh.
