Listen to this new to me poetic form
called the strambotto. Eleven syllables
per line, with eight lines per stanza is the norm
(though six per won't turn you into criminals).
The rhyme is just a-b, repeated til worn.
Sicilian Octave? No, but forgivable,
this is hendecasyllabic to perform.
If you can write one, you can work miracles.
