I finished Strange Horticulture. It's almost a very good game, I loved identifying the plants, but found some of the other puzzles not great at communicating what it wants you to do. My only real complaint is the map font, which turned out to be nearly game breakingly unreadable, even the in-game magnifying glass can't rescue it.

Still, you can pet the cat.

You think you inherited a flower shop, but the entire town uses you as pharmacy plus security firm. Which isn't bad, if weren't for your severe anxiety issues.

Sometimes she has to leave her shop to run errands. She must water her plants for ages before working up the courage to leave.

Apparently my character, the plant shop owner, has such severe social anxiety that if she picks the wrong plants three times, her mind shatters into about 12 pieces.

One of the coziest #games I played this year has been #StrangeHorticulture - a puzzle game with an occult story centered on you finding and identifying plants. They currently have a plushie campaign on Makeship, where you can get your own Hellebore (the ingame, pettable cat!). All profits gets donated to a local animal shelter charity. I just finished the main storyline of #StrangeHorticulture and think it's a delightful game. If you think you might enjoy plant- or map-based puzzles with a Lovecraftian horror twist, it's a very chill play experience.

Did I spend 6 hours last night playing #strangehorticulture last night? Yes, yes I did. I don't regret it. It's a great cozy mystery (they call it an occult puzzle) #game with plants.

I got ending five on this playthrough because my decisions were all over the place. I didn't realize how they impacted the story flow, I was just focused on identifying everything. Oops! 😆

5. #StrangeHorticulture - you're a "horticulturist", as they call it in the game; basically, you take care of strange plants with all sorts of properties, and like an #alchemist you also get to eventually brew elixirs and potions. Customers come to you asking for remedies, and meanwhile you also get to travel using a map, solve mysteries and puzzles, while uncovering a dark plot. This game has multiple endings - I always love it when choices really matter!
