This is quite a story. A guy leads a life of crime and gets away with it, until one day, the local townspeople decide it's enough. The sheriff drives away, the bad guy gets shot by multiple weapons. He dies, as nobody calls an ambulance. In spite of tge many shots, nobody is convicted, as nobody saw anything. Times were tough in 1981.

While driving through Monitor Valley in central Nevada yesterday, far off in the distance, I noticed a large shape. Using my binoculars I couldn't figure out what it was. There was a road that went toward it but stopped about a half mile from what I could now see was a semi-tractor. Yup, a big rig tractor in the middle of the desert, no road, and a horse skull in a bird's nest in the driver seat.

My Triumph-riding friend sees unusual things on his trips around backwoods Florida. This in:
“I first saw this almost four years ago in Hernando County. It's concrete sprayed over mesh built in the 1960's. It has no neck or head because man making it died in a fall from it. Sad. The strange sensation, when something turns out to be something totally different.

I was drinking a glass of water, while standing in my kitchen, and at the same time looking at a cup of soy milk, while not really thinking about either of them.

So my subconscious was still expecting soy milk, but i tasted water.... i was like: wtf.

So I started using diaereses a while back. It's much easier these days to use alternate forms of letters due to better UI of smart phone keyboards over traditional computer keyboards in Windows. You don't have to reënter letters or hunt down ALT codes. You just long press the letter's button and get several choices. For the "e" used in the previous sentence, the choices are ē, ê, è, é and of course ë.

This morning's fresh anecdote, as promised.
I went for a walk, wanted to make some photos with my 'real' camera in stead of the phone. Did not do that for quite some time.

As i strolled through my neighbourhood, i passed the Draka terrain. It was an old cable factory, now there are many small companies in the buildings.
The gate to the terrain is almost always - whenever i walk past - open. So as now.
