I got a gig where I’m gonna get to work with #nextjs and #strapi.

Today I still managed to make the basis for a future plugin on #Strapi, a plugin to generate a PDF file using data from a database. For me, as a #programmer, Strapi is terrible. I still don't understand its meaning. And my employer was sold the project for a lot of money by some "modern programmers" :t_blink:

I'm kicking the tires on self-hosted #headless #CMS.

Setting up #Strapi was pretty straightforward with no surprises. It basically looks like what I want.

Sanity does not feel self-hosted or open source. It forced me to create an account on #santiy.io to use their npm package. It looks like the only API access is through their centralized server which proxies back to my localhost (???). If that is true, it is a non-starter. Stepping away, I've received two marketing emails w/o my consent.

I started working with #strapi, seems promising. I like it for now!

WTF, #strapi no longer want to recruit in #France because they do not want to abide to the requirements the French government has on companies withmore than 50 employees! 😠🤦‍♂️

Le choix de mettre en premier dans leur liste des raisons de refuser de s'installer en France l'obligation d'avoir un CHSCT est non seulement parlant, mais il est choquant !

Ce que ça dit en creux, c'est que #Strapi veut des employés serviles qui ne vont surtout pas réclamer des droits et des conditions de travail décentes qui garantissent leur sécurité.

Is anyone else building #gatsby websites with a #strapi cms also using staticImages. I am getting a cache error if I even include a file that has a staticimage function

@eduplessis just some site content. I think I will go with #Strapi, but I need to choose where to deploy it since it needs a server - no cloud option. You can only “self-host” it, and the easiest way might be to use my existing #Netlify account - via serverless functions. I don’t want to spin up a Digital Ocean droplet for $5 a month while I play around with it.

Anyone here who used and self-hosted #Strapi? I might have some tiny questions.

I am looking for an another static site generator - I feel very comfortable with #Jekyll and #strapi plugin, but I am not sure if I am missing some cool features from - for instance if I would use #hugo #golang?

Where to host a small headless CMS/Postgres project? I usually use my Linode VPS, but I want to learn Fly.io, Railway, or some other Heroku alternative. Railway is first choice, but it looks like the free tier only works for 21 days/month? Any recommendations?

Doncs em dedicaré a refer desde zero una app que fa poc vaig acabar. Un altre cop amb #nextjs , però aquest cop canvio #Strapi per #Supabase . I probablement després la torni a refer amb algun altre stack xD

I looked into #strapi but that was years ago, it looked good at the time.

I've just migrated my blog from #strapi to my own cms, #PersonalBlogEngine. It's a program to manage the content of your blog with a headless api, but there is a Frontend to create and edit posts. It's made with #rust, #diesel and #svelte. It's far from finished nor perfect, but it works!
