My son bought me hot chips for lunch. And he got chicken salt 🥰 I bought him up right, he has taste! What do you prefer on your hot chips? #Straya
I am raiding Broadsheet for some recipes this morning. Here's the wonderful Sun-Kissed Sanga

Vegemite toast. Yay or nay? I am eating so much of this while in recovery ❤️🩹 #straya
I hope you're somewhere similarly beautiful this Sunday afternoon.
We're bloody lucky to live in a place like this - don't take it for granted (and keep it beautiful).
Go on... get out there!

Why do we call this "silverbeet" in Australia? It's not silver. It's not a beet. Swiss Chard everywhere else afaik.
We're killing time in the Goondi Hill Hotel in Innisfail, because [amazement] the Spirit of Queensland train is yet again running over two hours late on its way to Cairns.
This pub was chosen entirely on the basis on being close to the station, and is a very old-school place with old blokes propping up the front bar and a bistro out the back.
We're about to give the chef's pumpkin soup a try, the bar staff tell us it's based on his grandma's recipe.

#AmWriting a character named Genevieve, called Gin by her friends.
Wrote the line “Not happy, Gin”.
Took me about 20 minutes to work out why it sounded both odd and familiar, which incidentally is about the number of years since a certain ad permeated itself into Australian culture.

@JenYetAgain This is my eternal cry about Australian native fruits. We "clear" the bush and chop down trees rich with native fruits, berries and nuts to cultivate fruits that you can grow and find anywhere in the old world. It's profoundly stupid. Native citrus from the bush is frikkin amazeballs. Also lemon mrytle tea. F*ck yeah #straya
