Sudden realization: I used #Windows due to a flair of #OBS (SE.Live to be precise), but now that I don't use #StreamElements anymore (#Owncast rocks!)... Oh boy.

I should get a fresh new SSD and install once again #Linux. I've been out of the distro market for a year or so, I should also check up the news in this sector :geralt_lol:

Things I want to do today, but will struggle to make myself today:

* Decide what overlay types I want in StreamElements.
* Use existing overlays, tinker with existing ones, or make my own overlays.
* Set these overlays up in OBS.
* Decide on an achieveable, regular stream schedule that won't conflict with @DarkEden.
* Decide what games I want to start streaming.

So... yesterday I re-programmed one of my 8 #nodecg-io bundles!
To be more specific: My alert overlay for my #twitch streams.

I added some cool and important features, like skipping alerts, but also refactored some internals. Cool stuff!

But I also found some #bugs because #streamelements changed stuff in their #api. AGAIN. :sd_rage_cut:
Which resulted in the following new issues on #github for #nodecg-io:

I switched from Screamlabs to StreamElements awhile ago because of all the crap Strawlabs was doing.

I've enjoyed it and it's alert/overlay setup a lot more than I ever did with Streemlabs.
I really enjoy that it's overlay is one weed page with all the alerts, instead of one per alert. I've also found the customizability of it far exceeds Scamlabs, since you can write custom widgets with HTML, CSS, and JS to do anything you'd like.

@multosakalye no I did not, I use it on #Windows11 on a regular basis, and sometimes on #Linux (I use #Arch btw), but had a few problem with chat and #streamelements notifications on the latter

I'd guess one day or another I'll try a dual setup with #MacbookPro as the streamer :dracthyr_wuw:

Have finally managed to get #streamelements integration into #strem so any #twitch users will hopefully benefit of the integration.

I personally use it for custom actions from store redemptions but you can hook into tips and cheers as well.

Don't know if anyone else will be affected, but just in case. If you use StreamElements and use a custom bot name that has stopped working with OBS Studio update 29.0.2 you need to revert your activity feed in SE Live to get it working again. You will need to click the gear icon in SE Chat Activity Dock where I've circled in the photo and select Revert to Previous Version. This is from SE help desk and works to resolve the issue. #OBSStudio #OBS #StreamElements #SELive #CustomBotName

Something I've been constantly on about is that #Twitch channel points should not be behind affiliate/partner status. The redemption experience for being a 1st party thing is very easy for potential viewers to use.

I know that #StreamElements offers similar but, getting Twitch viewers to go to another site to use their earned points is something pretty difficult to do.

What is your thoughts on this?
