Hashtags are very helpful here and so are #filters in #customizing your #SocialMedia experience in the #Fediverse.
I like many of you see topics that don't interest me. Using a #filter to #mute / #block / #drop a specific term found in a #post will help you #streamline your #feeds.
You will find the 'Filters' setting in your #profile #settings and can create #custom filters or one large one you simply add #keywords to. You can choose to have them #hidden, or to not appear whatsoever without a 'hidden warning' as they will appear in your feed if you don't also check the 'drop' box.
Another helpful tip is: When logged in, open two tabs on your #browser. Open one to the filters page, use the other for being #social. When you see a term you wish to add, click the other tab, enter in that term and save it. This will save time and make life #easier here.
