I composed this song back in 2007. I was 17 and severely depressed. I remember that night well. The song still gives me the chills.

Looked for the lowest note that sounded good and started creating. I poured my sorrow to the music. I have never played this song to anyone ans for a long time I thought there is no musician in me and everything I do sucks. I struggle with making my songs more dynamic and alive and I'm never happy with them. Only like 10% of everything I do gets released. #Streetgazer

One thing I for some reason lack of is a musical self-esteem. It comes from the insecurities of my childhood. Also some of the negative feedback I've received stuck to me forever, like the music teacher's comments that he will cut my finger off if I play the drums right or a bully who said I can't sing.

This is why I play piano, synth, guitar and sing on my own. I never let my voice be heard.

As a #Streetgazer I have released 11 songs in total over the years. I have 84 drafts I have never releasd.

This unmixed song is one of those drafts. I composed it in 2019. Nobody has heard it yet, but I decided to share it for you #Mastodon folks.

Should I master it and do a proper release of it? Or toss it?

This song is probably my all time favourite songs of all the songs I've ever made. I remember the night I spent composing it. I could not sleep, it was a rainy summer night and the melodies just kept flowing. When I was done the morning sun was rising.

I'm still very happy with it. The only song of my own I really enjoy listening again.

Throwback to 2019.

Here's an ambient song called "Eternal" I released after my father passed away. He had cancer. The song still brings up that feeling of grief. I miss him dearly. My father never talked about death and believed we are eternal beings.
