Ornate ironwork lamp outside the former Saint Andew's Hall on Granville Street in Glasgow. This building was designed by James Sellars and was built in 1877. It burned down in 1962, and only the facade remains. It is now part of the Mitchell Library.

The council has announced that an aluminium-alloy adaptor that attaches #LEDLamps to poles around the city is at fault. This adaptor is not suited to Wellington's strong winds, causing the lamps to either droop or, in worst cases, detach and fall to the ground. No one has been hurt, but the lamps have potential to do significant damage. 17,000 such lamps are affected.

This #StreetLamp in Wrocław, Poland, became famous for some strange reason, so the power utility had it shaved, as this was against regulations. So sad. (couldn't find the original source of the photo)
