I highly recommend this browser plugin called #StreetPass that collects #Mastodon profile links whenever you pass by them on the web. Then you can look back at all the people whose blogs or whatever you've read and follow them.

Overall, if any account looks even remotely interesting to you, follow it! Then use filters in your account settings to clear out stuff you don't want to see. It's super easy to unfollow later if you decide an account isn't worth seeing in your feed down the line so don't overthink it.

My #Nintendo #3DS #StreetPass puzzle collection is finally complete!

For the last pink pieces which you can only get from StreetPass I used my modded 3DS. I’ve StreetPassed my other 3DS about 90 times 🙈 so it’s all legit.

Okay, this is kinda cool.

Remember that feature on the 3DS where you could walk around and link up with random people? (no? just me?)

Well, imagine that, but for the internet. And then imagine that, but for Mastodon specifically.

#Streetpass by @tvler is a pretty nifty little browser extension which keeps a running list of links to mastodon users you find in the wild, so you can check 'em out later. Pretty neat!

On top of that, #StreetPass was just an awesome concept. Knowing there is a community of like minded people around you without being invasive. It was always exciting to get home and see who I passed by. There will never be a game like it again….unless… switch DS?? Ahaha

#StreetPass and #FediAct together make a potent combo. I just reviewed my list today and picked up a few new follows... just from regular web browsing!

StreetPass finds their masto pages, and FediAct lets you follow them without searching. This is super awesome!

#StreetPass is a browser extension that helps you find your people on Mastodon. Here's how it works:

1. Mastodon users verify themselves by adding a custom link to their personal site.
2. StreetPass lets you know when you've found one of these links, and adds them to your StreetPass list.

I’ve given up on completing my #Nintendo #3DS #StreetPass puzzle collection the, well, StreetPass way. I’m missing about 14 or so pink puzzle pieces and even at events I can barely get one StreetPass and when I do they don’t have the pieces I’m missing.

So instead I modified the save of my modded 3DS to unlock everything and will instead StreetPass with myself 😅.

@tvler #StreetPass Could maybe have a github issue or something to subscribe to to find out if/when StreetPass becomes available on Safari? Looks cool!
