Caught up with @StephanieLearns and heard her advocacy for traffic cameras to deter speeding on our streets (always scary/dangerous, and made terrifying by the huge trucks and SUVs out there). #Streetsafety is an urgent concern, and I think Sen. Options to improve the #streetsafety of this intersection include (but not limited to!):

1. Extending the curb to further narrow Midland at crosswalks, forcing drivings to drive more cautiously.

2. Making the crosswalks level to the sidewalk, effectively making them speed bumps.

Hi Fediverse! I'm Val from Providence. I've been car-free since 2015 and I'm a retired teacher. Using my retirement years for my twin advocacy passions of #StreetSafety and #GunSafety. I have one toot.community account for each of those advocacies, and this one is the #StreetSafety place.
