@chuha My understanding is collision avoidance doesn't work well (or perhaps at all) when applied to pedestrians and cyclists.

@timaeus Yes *and* I've found that it's almost surprisingly easy to make the shift once a certain tipping point is reached, and that once you've gone over it the new possibilities seem obvious and easy. I got rid of my last car seven years ago and the cascading effect on my life and health has been so absolutely wonderful. (Of course the issue is getting others there; I mostly just try to share how much freer and easier my life has become as a result.)
