@ifr
Thanks for your hard work with the #police.
My daughter has #EUPD (& possible psychosis) and has had multiple contacts with police officers and #streetTriage.
They've always been considerate & kind.
When I've needed to ring I've found her local police call centre staff understanding & helpful.
This sort of #training is vital for patients, carers & relatives.
Thank you.

Lloyd had a #CakeFine to pay and he did so this evening. He even remembered his #StreetTriage #nurse when paying his dues. Good lad.
#Donuts and #Police are a bit of a cliché, but with the shift I was having I didn’t care. Donuts are my reason to be happy #today, #day11 of #100HappyDays / #365HappyDays.

Dealt with eighteen jobs tonight. They were coming thick and fast and I was grateful to have a student working alongside me or I’d still be there now.
Dealing with the incidents as they happen, assessing the patients, the risks, making the decisions, offering the guidance and support, all of that stuff is done as a matter or urgency. Immediately. It’s the priority.
Documenting it all afterwards is what makes me late off shift by almost two hours again.

Work was at times tonight frustrating and rewarding, but overall productive.
I got off on time - literally wrapped up the last job at 0158 so with two minutes to spare. I was 40 minutes late the night before, and don’t begrudge a minute of it. Well worth it.
We’re doing okay.
I only finished an hour late today. I’ve been home since about 0330hrs. Tonight’s shift was busy again, but it was good busy. The kind of busy that feels productive. The kind where I feel like it was worthwhile. Like I was useful.
4:40am, just got home from work. Finished a little over 2hrs late. And without even a hint of sarcasm I can genuinely say that I do love my job.
Knackered now though and heading straight to bed.
I left the house almost 14hrs ago and arrived home to discover I hadn’t locked the door. Because I’m trusting like that. 😖
So, this is how I spent my evening. 🙂

Was on my phone working, when an officer reached across the divider and stuck this on my screen. Made my day. I’m leaving it there all shift. 💙

One more shift then two weeks off. Oh yes.
I can almost taste that sweet sweet annual leave. 🙂
Tonight had its successes and its frustrations, but that is #MentalHealth #nursing in all its glory. I love it.

“Mental health workers attended…” That would be me then.
Whilst I am quite pleased with the sentence, it’s really dispiriting to read this article. The inaccuracies are startling. [1/2]

I’ve just had this from one of the Sergeants at work. I’m not having a great time today, and this made me cry, but it’s a wonderful Christmas gift.
