It just occurred to me that #stsnw cliffhangered two weeks ago and I’m pissed - delightfully so, but still pissed - so well done, I didn’t realize it was episode 10. At least they know that if they don’t renew it now that network would burn to the ground. (Figuratively of course)

... Musical episodes must be like slapstick humor or something... they appeal to a specific audience while being a turn off for others. I need to remember that.

(Yes this is about knowing that a #Star Trek #STSNW episode exists - I'm never watching it I get so much second hand embarrassment from even knowing it exists and I don't actually understand why. It's not as though the show is that serious to start with, it's got comedy built in).

I got all caught up on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds last night, and I have to say the cross over episode was funny as frick. If you have not seen it yet, you are going to love it.
Funny part is I am not a fan of Star Trek: Lower Deck, but after this episode I may go back and actually watch it.
Too bad ST:LD got cancelled (1 last season from what I read)... It's probably way better than I give it credit for.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has really hit the sweet spot between episodic and serial. There are character arcs and plot arcs that are almost invisible to someone watching a single episode but so rich for long-haul fans. The writers don't take it *totally* seriously, but they avoid classic Trek's slipshod hokeyness and Next Gen's over-hasty resolutions to complex problems. Possibly the best Trek yet.

#Sartrek #TNG is my absolute fave, but Star Trek #TOG comes in second. Absolutely loved the movies as well. Wasn't a huge fan of the newer reboots, but they've grown on me. #STSNW has turned into a pretty good series. How about you?
