That’s apparently what we pay them six figures a year to do.

The ideologues on the #scotus argue that Congress has to specifically authorize every US govt action.

President Biden used a 2003 *act of Congress* for #StudentDebtCancellation authority. That’s not good enough, they say: 20 years ago, Congress should have anticipated this exact situation and spelled out the authority.

This irrational theory could apply to any agency doing anything. It makes the country ungovernable.
