Anybody know a good Thunderbolt 3 KVM switch that can be used to control multiple workstations with one single Studio Display / keyboard / mouse? Does that even exist? This used to be fairly straightforward back in the day but with TB3 / USB-C this seems to be either impossible or very expensive?

Thinking of buying an Apple Studio Display (standard glass & VESA mount). I need a better monitor & would prefer one with good pixel density/color reproduction for macOS. There aren't many real options, so here I am. Looking at an Ergotron LX arm to pair with it. Thoughts on the arm or a better option? I bought a cheaper one for another monitor & wish I had gone higher quality. Also, what color matches well to the Studio Display - Polished Aluminum (my bet) or White?

I have a use case to swap the input to my like 3-4 times a day. I am really worried I will wear out the port.

I would pay so much for a thunderbolt , , or even a thunderbolt extension cable that works. Anything to save wear on this port.

I’ve ordered everything on Amazon which matches this description and NONE of it works properly. Every piece either can’t pass video at all or leads to screen flickering.

Genau @jcfrick ! Genau was @maltekir passiert ist, das ist mir in zwei von drei Updates passiert. Und das erste Mal musste mein in den Service. Die haben den Bildschirm dann abgeholt, zurückgesetzt und drei Tage so später zurückgebracht. Dieser Bildschirm hat Apple schon mehr gekostet als ich jemals bezahlt habe. Aus meiner Sicht ist die Software da drauf eine Katastrophe. 😅

One other small observation (enough already, I hear you cry!) on the 's 120Hz refresh rate. The effect is subtle, but noticeable. Animations and scrolling are much smoother—as is readily apparent when you switch it off via Display Settings or by enabling low power mode. Now all we need is a 5K to support it! 😉

I have an Apple Studio Display and a Wacom Cintiq. Both work fine until I hook them up to the Mac at the same time. For some reason, the Mac will not recognize the Cintiq as a secondary display if the Apple monitor is hooked up as well.

I think it has to do with the monitor having an iPad chip running some variant of iOS in it, but I’m not sure. Does anyone know a way around this or do I just hope that Apple will patch it at some point?

@richservo @JeruDamaja @frankreiff I love 's screens. The contrast ratio, brightness, and resolution are top notch. Unfortunately, the current is only 24" and I prefer a bigger display. If I were going with a separate screen, the is only 27" and I'd like something a little larger. If I were a gamer, I'd hate the 60Hz refresh rate. I have a to satisfy my gaming cravings, so a higher refresh rate on my monitor not as important to me as a better TV.
