Is the GM 5.7L V8 from a front wheel drive vehicle?

I can't imagine the engineering required to convert, less alone fit. a V8 into the engine compartment of a 930.

All rear engine Porsches are notorious for their rear end bias (I owned a 911 for awhile) and with that much weight/power in the rear, it must be really good at doing donuts in intersections (or spin outs in tight turns in the backroads).
