I really don't remember any good role models* for stuttering as I was growing up. It felt to be completely about my fault. My problem: between me and my stutter. Are things better now?
* OK. "The King's Speech" - but as a child I only heard about that as a fable. No audio, no visual.

Interesting. I had a stutter as a child, mostly addressed. People who know me occasionally comment that I speak more slowly than normal. That's because every sentence I say has been mentally rehearsed prior to speaking it out loud.
I also have developmental prosopagnosia, I'm face blind. Just wondering if anyone may have investigated any possible correlation?

I have a fortnightly one-on-one with my technical manager. Our sessions are structured in such a way that I talk as well as I'm capable of doing, and I also type my thoughts in a chat window.

Doing both seems to help my manager understand what I'm trying to tell him even though my severe #stutter makes it hard for most people to understand me.

It is what it is. Reduces my stress level somewhat and lets us better communicate.

My team is doing interviews for a new team leader. I haven't been involved in the interview process, even though I'm the most technical person on the team and I'll be working very closely with the new person once they're here.

I'm going to be asking my manager during our one-on-one on Monday why I haven't be involved in the vetting process. #stutter
