It has only been recently in my life that I've been able to afford the latest and greatest hardware for #PCGaming.

Imagine the disappointment to expect to game in quality settings, resolution and refresh rate better than consoles just to find a #StutterStruggle mess waiting for you.

I'm sure developers are well aware of the limitations of their PC ports, but I hope that bringing awareness to the topic makes the studios devote more time and money to polish PC ports.

Lumen and Nanite are impressive technologies for Unreal Engine 5. Their debut in UE 5.1 in Fornite is impressive. But Epic has failed to address the biggest issue that has been plaguing UE 4&5: shader compilation stutter.

On An RTX 4090, PS5, and XSX, there is still dramatic stuttering in Fortnite with UE5.1. With a lot of excitement about devs using UE5, I'm not looking forward to indie games and AAA games continuing to stutter.

@Phawx I was pretty curious about Steam Deck performance since apparently it's an egregious #stutterstruggle title. Was curious whether Deck's pre-cached shaders made much of a difference but it sounds like that's not the only issue.
