I guess I can see an argument that public #transit doesn't meet the *technical* definition of a #PublicGood in the drive to provide it for free. But then why is it ok that I must #subsidize drivers for their free #parking along their free #roadways, neither of which I, as a #pedestrian or #biker, am equally free to use?

#Americans are being taxed (#taxes can be fair; US aren't) but get very little back.
Instead of taxes paying for #healthcare, we pay out of pocket (even with #insurance).
Instead of subsidized #childcare, we pay >50% of income. #care workers aren't paid fairly either.
Education is being #refunded from kindergarten through university at every level.
#Developed nations use fair rates to tax the #wealthy, then fund #subsidize citizens' lives. #capitalism is broken. We need #DemocraticSocialism
