Time for a #chipmunk update!

As some of you may remember, I have been live-trapping chipmunks and relocating them to the (not too) nearby park.

Well, I relocated *27* of them… and then realized there is an infinite supply.

When I first started this endeavor I figured maybe there was like 4 or 5 of them.

No matter how many chippies I relocate to the park, there does not seem to be any less of them in the yard. [looks] there’s 2 of them there right now.

I cannot bring myself to kill them.

Wifey tried getting one of those "lifelike" owls that move a bit in the breeze. 😂 Doesn't work at all. I fully expect to see chippie sitting on the owl any day now, mocking me.

Supposedly strong smells can deter them, so like... peppermint oil, or garlic oil, or coffee grounds, or other such things, but *it rains here* so that would be effective for about a week at most.

Perhaps I should just get a yard cat/fox/wolf/komodo. 😼 🦊🐺 🐲
