My modification of dwm which aims to turn the window manager into something resembling the acme editor is now quite usable.

You also don't want this
> for some in /some/path/*.pr0n; do do-the-thing "$some"; done
You almost always want
> declare -a some_array
> readarray -t some_array < <(find /some/path -type [...])
> for some in "${some_array[@]}"; do
> do-the-thing "$some"
> done

okay. I've done 18 patches. I added one more to the list. I have nine to go. lol.

And it's all the hard ones. The bar patches are always where it all goes wrong.

Actually, I've got several builds of it ๐Ÿ˜

I mean, the various builds are just different color schemes ๐Ÿ˜‚, but I also gave some patches built in to my builds for changing font sizes and the like.

No "live site" yet, but the core project installer is up on sourcehut:

git.sr.ht/~bt/open-suck-instal

The installer calls my programs from the main open-suck project: sr.ht/~bt/open-suck/sources

Still tweaking but I have successfully ported a installer paired with my tools. (Running bare metal on my X201 )

This is all based off my Alpine Suck project too: as.bt.ht/

Ways to go until I get a clean site setup etc. but still fun!

Today I realized that my girlfriend is a suckless (linux) user but in real life. When it comes to crafting, she is able to build everything she likes.
Just a thought... ๐Ÿ˜„

Ahh, so it wasn't universal, then. Just for KDE apps?
.org's tabbed does a similar thing for X programs that support XEmbed, but that is likewise limited.

Yes, I'm one of those people who really does search for and play YouTube videos from the terminal, and yes, it actually is better.

youtube-viewer + yt-dlp + mpv = bliss

The *only* upside to using something like Firefox is the ability to use additional ad-blocking tools like SponsorBlock.

I even get consistently full-quality video with less lag and stuttering than actual browsers.

Bonus: subtitles come in automatically as well.

What's not to love?

I wish I had the time to use a computer that was hard to use. I want to try a desktop. But Iโ€™m worried that Iโ€™m not advanced enough to use an environment that simple.

Just realized that Surf is the perfect Site-Specific Browser.
You'd have to create your own .desktop shortcuts (if you really need them), but otherwise, it's dead-simple to use.
