#suedimurekezi --a U.S citizen and member of the #usaf --has been released today in a prisoner swap between #ukraine and #russia . I am happy for him and his loved ones this holiday season and pray he receives a warm welcome on his return.

@georgetakei sure everyones freedom matters, but Griner vs Bout, I think Russia got the better end of the deal, they got the man who may be able to get even more weapons to Russia so they can keep on _murder_ even more Ukrainians. They should at least included #PaulWhelan and #SuediMurekezi in the deal.

#US citizen, crypto-investor #SuediMurekezi managed to be freed from #Russian captivity. He lived peacefully in #Kherson for several years, but in June the occupiers arrested him.

Murekezi took part in pro-#Ukrainian protests. But the Russians thought he was a #NATO soldier and sentenced him to the "#DPR", accusing him of "inciting inter-ethnic enmity". There was no contact with him for six months.

The fact that he is alive was reported by our already released prisoners. He then was released.
