An indian group (man, woman) just used a child's (patient in a mental health clinic im a patient of) loud expression of his mental anguish to make their son be fearful of "acting up" as it "may invite getting beaten up"

I see this regularly here, almost all the time. fear of violence and emotional is how everyone deals with their children's and outbursts. everyone

the child is emotionally shook and thoroughly confused by the proposition

I would like to make a note that having in itself isn't a matter to feel bout inherently, we all have it in one way or the other, and its okay and ideal to live a decent life.

The conversations around privilege, I believe, needs to be more about being aware of the ways you're privileged, so as to not end up abusing it to other people's expense, or to try and understand the under privileged people's more.
