On #Saturday, I was able to visit #stjohns #episcopal #church in #oakdale #suffolkcounty #NewYork. The churchyard was locked, but I was able to snap a few pictures over the #wroughtiron fence. #longisland has many of these charming #historic churches—some are in disrepair, but this one appears to be active. #tombtuesday #history #histodons

I'm wandering about in the15th Century this week, trying to find more information about the FitzLewes line in London, Essex and Suffolk. I'm pretty sure they are my ancestors, but I have yet to find the definitive documentation that proves the connection.
