Is there a place c.q. are there any #handles we can use to directly #communicate with #fediverse and #mastodon #developers ? Something like a #SuggestionBox or a #MastodonSuggestionBox perhaps?

@nora wrote a lovely suggestion in the #MastodonSocial GitHub repository. It was on #hashflags, or when you'd type a hashtag it'd generate a small emoji.

For example:

- Say I type in #Canada, it'd appear as #Canada 🇨🇦.
- Or #Germany would have #Germany 🇩🇪.
- Or, for the instance I'm on, it'd be changing #MastodonWorld to #MastodonWorld :mastodonworld: .

In the early days, I felt stupid saying ‘tweet. It fit the bird theme. I get it.

Maybe this is just me, but the reason I feel this is a real problem, is that in comparison to the first couple of weeks, I haven't boosted as much myself. That seems like an issue, since that's the way Mastodon is set up, and relies on that. I dread the multiples, and subconsciously think 'I won't boost this, because most of my followers will have seen this already.'

Wild idea: How about a 'seen' flag on posts?

When you follow a lot of similar minded people, they will boost a lot (and I mean A LOT *sighs*) of the same posts. If a post would get flagged as seen the first time it gets fetched, and ignored after that (or for a set amount of time maybe? or as an optional setting?), that would make the TL so much nicer.
