Frank now gone 29 years. One of his last requests was that no one ever cover Zoot Allures. So in the true spirit of Zappa we covered it every night. Here's our take on it. What the -575 sounds like. New version of a cut from our 2012 record "Songs in Borrowed Time."
Relearned my guitar parts from the original, which borrows a bit from the great Soukous player Diblo Dibala, but also from the Indian Carnatic style of guitar. Took long hours of work, but in the end I may have gotten close. My fingers ain't getting no younger!

I had seen it in a shop and loved it—asked if they could hang on to it while I got the funds together, but to call if anybody came around and showed interest. They said it had just been collecting dust.

Told my wife about it, what a special instrument was, etc.

I call 2 weeks later and shop says "sorry, someone from Norway bought it over the internet." comes a few months later, turned out the "Norwegian" was my wife!
