So I chose the name Siin because it came to me, with no other specific reasoning behind it.
Then I encountered the prophetic Nona Marie this weekend and she told me I'm named after a Sumerian (pre-Sumerian?) goddess of agriculture who was well-loved but whose name was then turned into the modern "sin" as in sinful, bad, etc as more patriarchal societies took power in the region.

Anyone know anything about this? Or have any resources they can point me to so I can do some of my own digging/verification?

Guess nobody talks much about the #Anunnaki and #Sumerianmythology on here, because those hashtags turn up zero results. I have no strong beliefs, just think it is an interesting topic. I definitely don't buy into the entire #Sitchin narrative but some of his ideas were interesting, even if pure fiction. For quite some time I've thought Hollywood could make a great #SciFi movie based on "The Lost Book of Enki" (they could always set it on another planet instead of Earth if necessary).

By the way, if you feel the need to get on my case because you believe it's all pseudoscientific nonsense, I will block you in the same way I would block any religious zealot who tries to force their beliefs on me. I try to stay open minded but nothing irritates me more than someone who can't stand it if anyone else dares to even entertain a belief that conflicts with their own strongly-held beliefs. We are talking about myths from ancient cuneiforms here, not easily provable scientific facts!
