Good morning all my friends. You know how yesterday I declared myself over that bitch of an upper respiratory illness? Good morning to a 40 minute long coughing fit. And sinus drainage.

I guess I spoke too soon. 🤷‍♀️ Hopefully it's just my body clearing out the dregs. I am so tired of coughing.

Still sick. No surprise there. At one point yesterday, I collapsed on the floor and couldn't get up on my own. I'm better than that today, so maybe on the mend?

I remember a commercial, from the 60s maybe, that posited "A summer cold is a different animal." I'm aging myself. Most of you probably weren't born yet. So it turns out that true, insofar as viri are animals. Summer colds are caused by enterovirus, where winter colds are typically rhinovirus.

Went downstairs and emptied the dishwasher. Took maybe 20 or 30 minutes. But there was a lot of bending involved. I'm hurting and exhausted. I hate being chronically ill.

I went to my dentist again last night. The young receptionist wasn't wearing a mask this time. She said the Dental Association dropped their mask requirements yesterday. She said it felt so weird not wearing it, but she felt glad because even if she wore it over her chin, people would look at her funny. I reminded her she didn't have to stop wearing one just because it's not required now.
She was also coughing her lungs out from the notorious #SummerCold 🤦‍♀️

Dallas, my home city (as opposed to my city of origin) is #2 in Worst Cities in US for People with #Allergies ...as I suspected. Go get that allergy test and read up on the topic! #Ashoo
