Il #30gennaio 1972 si consuma il #BloodySunday: i pará del Primo Battaglione dell’esercito britannico uccidono 13 dimostranti cattolici e ne feriscono a morte un’altra (deceduta qualche mese dopo) durante una manifestazione per i diritti civili a Derry, in Irlanda del Nord. Alcuni di loro vengono uccisi mentre sono a braccia alzate. Non ci sarà alcuna condanna per i responsabili di quell'atto vile. Gli #U2, nel 1983, ricorderanno l'eccidio in #SundayBloodySunday.
