The Hymn to Zeus, by the #Stoic philosopher Cleanthes (ca. 300 BC). I have substituted the original Greek "logos" for Hanselman's "reason" to show in context the meaning this word would have had for any educated speaker of Greek from Heraclitus in the 6th c. BC onward, in particular the audience intended by the author of the Gospel of John, where it is usually translated as "the Word." Note the Stoic ethics and the absence of any suggestion that the logos is a person.

Yep. 100% agree - on a wider scale. Too many people talk total arse (unsubstantiated or uneducated opinions / fill the air with vapid noise) and not enough substance (proven scientific fact / sound ethics / have anything of merit to say).
