This sundew has put out the longest string of flowers I have ever seen. It’s insane. Usually, they put up a curly bit with a few buds on them. The buds open one at a time until they run out. Occasionally, one will keep going. This one forgot to stop.

raining outside, and light inside isn't so great. yet too lazy to use tripod...
i cannot recommend 1/25 shutter while shooting close-up, handheld, and also using a teleconverter. but out of a couple of a hundred snaps at least one came out okay. 😂

Was pretty positive I had killed these by acclimating them too quickly, but thankfully, no. Still *very* smol, and growing slowly, but very much alive.
#Byblis aquatica, a carnivorous annual native to northern Australia, similar to #Drosera and #Drosphyllum.

Today’s photo is another #CarnivorousPlant from partner’s collection. This is a Cape Sundew, Drosera capensis. These generally have purple flowers, but partner also has one with no anthocyanin, which has white flowers, and no red colouring in the leaves and blobs. #Drosera #Sundew #GardeningAu

Finally, upgraded our window with bio weapons against flying pests. A tiny Drosera, or sundew, and a Venus flytrap. That one's rather small too but it already grows a flower stem!
They will combine well with newly planted chilies that often have lots of tiny flies in their soil at the start. I only use peat-free planting substrate for them.
