A chunk of moss living in a bog pot. Several still small sundews (drosera) grow on the edges, as well as some tiny pitcher plant seedlings (sarracenia). The moss has some bits of dried stuff above it as well as the requisite cat hair.

The Murder Moss continues to become more murderous (for bugs), but the moss is holding up well.

It’s that time of year, all the seedlings in the greenhouse mean:- fungus gnats.
I’ve moved a pot of sundews that’s just coming out of dormancy in to the greenhouse. The sundews can get a nice feed and there will be less fungus gnats around while I’m potting up.

He does know how to care for plants though, as he has a wax begonia house plant that has been in his family for over 40 years! That’s right over 40 years generation after generation of that plant❣️ here’s a picture of that begonia’s latest cutting, green with white spots and red undersides

Green Round-leaf #Sundews (Drosera rotundifolia) terrarium-grown from seeds collected from the bright red sundews I found in New Ross, Nova Scotia. These ones have not (yet?) developed the red colouration of the previous generation. This may be because of insufficient light, but since my other high-light #plants, like the nepenthes, are doing well in the same tank. I suspect that the lack of colour is due to either immaturity or water quality. #CarnivorousPlants #terrarium #IndoorGarden
