Vor 100 Jahren gründeten die polnischen Brüder Warner die Filmproduktion Warner Brothers Pictures, Inc.
Das erste Studio wurde bereits 1918 am #SunsetBoulevard eröffnet und dort entstand 1927 auch der erste #Tonfilm
Bis zur Übernahme 1967 durch Seven Arts entstanden Klassiker wie Casablanca oder einzige 3D Hitchcock-Film Bei Anruf Mord.

Gloria Swanson was mesmerizing. The movie was often fun, but overall it made me very sad. There's just something heartbreaking to watching someone see the world grow past them (though the change might be good).

Ich habe derzeit so viel Spass daran, meine liebsten Film Noirs zu rewatchen. Das Genre hat mir vor 5 Jahren die Tür zu Classic Hollywood geöffnet.
Heute gab's Billy Wilder's #SunsetBoulevard mit der unvergleichlichen Gloria Swanson als alternde Stummfilm-Diva Norma Desmond. Eine Rolle für die Ewigkeit. Das Drehbuch auch 😍

Betty Schaefer was played by Nancy Olson, who looked so much like Amber Tamblyn that I'm sure they must be related. They both have the same beauty.
I know I'm essentially reducing an actor's performance to an evaluation of her looks but I don't intend to provide objective reviews.
As far as I can tell, Sunset Boulevard has a WhoCount of zero (artist links with #DoctorWho).
