Ah yes, it’s the time of the year when Anglophone Xstians are baking babka to celebrate their own holiday as if it’s the most natural thing in the world and not them appropriating yet another thing from Judaism. #antisemitism (yes, that’s what that behavior is an expression of) #supercessionism #handsofmyreligion #thisiswhywecanthavenicethings #judaism #jewish #food #jewishfood

I'm not asking you not to research, or not to do what you think helps Jewish people, and I'm not saying not to learn stuff however you like.
I'm asking you to be aware of the #supercessionism of saying non-Jews should, or even do, celebrate Jewish holidays. That doesn't show support.
I'm truly just trying to help you be a better ally, here, which you Indicated was important to you.
@rockymcrockerson the ideas are good (and ostensibly the point of Judaism).
My mixed feelings come from a combination of #supercessionism and #misinformation.
For example, everybody should refrain from #LashonHara, #Jewish or not and we ought to be the example of what that looks like so others will recognize why. But if #Christians call something Lashon Hara and convince everybody that's what it really means, it undermines our example. Same with #Teshuvah.
